Following a forced hiatus of several months, Salon58 is back with an exciting fall program that will be deployed with the upmost respect for the current health and safety measures in place !

As it is impossible to welcomethis year the singer-songwriter Sarcloret established in France, his coming has been postponed to a future time and he will be replaced by the Montreal choreographer Andrew Turner. It is therefore 10 artists spread over 4 weeks of shared residences who will benefit from this working time supported by a fee and a financial contribution to cover transport and meals.

Note: given the evolving nature of the pandemic, the programming remains subject to minor or major changes, which will be communicated to you.

We would like to acknowledge the contribution of the Canada Council for the Arts and the CLD de la Haute-Gaspésie, thanks to which we were able to increase artists’ fees to further support them during this period of precariousness.

MEASURES IN PLACE

  • Capacity reduced to 10-15 people per event (usual capacity of 50 people)
  • Physical distancing measures, preventive installations and signage on site
  • Mandatory face coverings for the public
  • Disinfectant gel dispensers available to artists and the public
  • Bar is open, but with a reduced offer

We would like to thank the Public Health team of the CISSS de la Gaspésie for their support in developing our strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our evolving measures will be updated according to their recommendations during the fall in order to prioritize everyone’s safety.

RESERVATIONS

As we will now operate at less than 30% of our capacity to respect physical distancing, reservations will be more important than ever. We urge you to book as early as possible and to advise us promptly if there is a change to your booking. We will set up a waiting list system for cancellations and we will try to favor those who did not have a place for the next occasion. Each member of the public who reserves a place will receive by e-mail the sanitary measures to be observed when coming to Salon58. Live web diffusion strategies are also being set up, in order to give a greater number of people access to the exchanges and performances offered by the artists in residence with us. SOLIDARY MEMBERSHIP

The pandemic has greatly affected artists and cultural organizations. The resumption of activities is slow, if not impossible in some cases, and the horizon is transformed in a significant way for many people in the arts community. Salon58 team has worked hard to preserve both its support for artists and its cultural offer in Marsoui. The 2021 program is already well advanced and has a host of impactful meetings in store for you, virtual or in person! We are therefore launching a Solidary membership campaign for Salon58, in order to help maintain our activities in the near future.

By taking your Solidarity subscription at a cost of $ 50, you:

  • have priority access to the 4 evenings of fall 2020
  • receive a FURIES festival t-shirt
  • enjoy a drink on us at the bar during each of your visits to Salon58 in 2020
  • encourage a local project that promotes Haute-Gaspésie!

A great way to support creation in the regions in these difficult times. Contact us by email at comm@mandolinehybride.com for more details.
