About the zine

Carefully crafted in partnership with Noeuds Éditions, this zine is the result of a week of intensive creativity in the Marsoui Valley in May 2025. Around twenty voices overlap throughout this exquisite corpse, running through the entire work. Collages, photographs, paper games, and illustrations complement the various texts with their multiple tones.

The 5th edition of the Feminist Writing Retreat

For this anniversary edition, 20 authors gathered at Salon58 to contribute to a special format inspired by the concept of exquisite corpse. In a nod to the 100th anniversary of surrealism (1924-2024), the following question was posed: how can feminist thoughts and practices challenge or question this artistic movement? For a week, the authors worked on individual texts with their own trajectories, tones, and themes, but these were linked: the last sentence of one text was always the first sentence of the next, in the manner of an exquisite corpse.

Twenty authors from Caplan, Douglastown, Eastman, Gaspé, La Martre, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Maria, Matane, Mont-Louis, Mont-Saint-Pierre, Montreal, Rimouski, and Sainte-Anne-des-Monts benefited from the support of four facilitators working professionally in the fields of literature, dance, visual arts, and communications.
