UNDERNEATH THE ICE ; YOU (2011) | FILM

DESCRIPTION

This film explores the poetics of location and belonging. It is the story of Emilie, arriving in Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon, a small, isolated community on the very North Coast of Québec. Starting in Montréal, Emilie travels up the North Coast, alone. When the road ends in Natashquwan, the only option to continue is by boat or by plane.

“-Where do you come from?
-Elsewhere. Further away.

 -Where do you belong?
-Here, now, there, further.”
